Texas really is a beautiful place. Thirty miles from Houston, down on the bay, its like a different, wild world. When I told the guides that I was going to run three miles along the bay in the morning all they could say was watch out for gators over and over.

Wild ducks and wildlife are all around me. It’s so quiet I can hear silence. A fish splash in the bay. A coyote. Thirty miles, that’s all.
